A book that started out dark but ends up differently. Has Spencer Ingram a hitman following his target Poppy Montgomery. He finds himself attracted to her and wants to protect her. Two problems with that one she is a NY Police Detective, and her family runs the motorcycle club that is against the people that he works for. Meeting her he finds that she has a dark side like him and wonders if she is broken inside like he is. This story will have some triggers for people with abuse issues, so be aware. His family especially his father is someone that you don’t want to meet along with his uncle who is behind much of his pain. Once you get past each one of their pasts you do see a story where they are dealing with their pain and are going after the person who caused it.
