| A book that opens with action on the high seas as Kennon Cameron and his crew are coming under attack as the crew and himself battle against the pirates his mind races as to how to survive, what of his men, was there a traitor. Fighting for his life he sees a man who he thought was someone he could trust but now he has taken his ship and his bounty. Not giving him or anyone a choice he throws himself off into the depths of the ocean. He later washes ashore on what you think is a deserted island, only to find out that a woman named Divana Campbell lives there and has for a few years. Mostly alone after her family past from smallpox. Her village expected her to past as well but she survived. You will find throughout this book that she is a survivor. Nursing him back to health she finds out that he is a Sir and when they finally leave the island after some more trouble, they make it back to his people. Happy to see him he still has an English Sgt. After him. He is once again injured and she comes to nurse him back to health again. Once again, the story takes another change when Kennon prepares to take to the sea to find the man who stole his ship and right the wrong that was done to him. What he does not expect was for Divana to have stowed away. Here the story takes even more of a twist and you really won’t want to put the book down. Without giving anything away you will not be disappointed in this book at all. Full of action and Divana is always in the middle of something. A very good book with wonderful characters.
