Cassie Wolford has crushed on fireman Quinn Gallagher ever since he moved to Clearwater three years ago. There’s just one problem: he’s always made it clear dating is out of the question. has a really good writing style everything flows nicely and the events that
happened intriguing enough to make you want to keep reading.
This story is centered around firefighter Quinn the best friend to Wolf and his younger brother Jace. They are a large family that Wolf took over raising when they died in their family home, in a fire no less. So, now the two brothers fight fires so others don’t live what they went through with their sisters.
The youngest sister is the female lead and a spitfire. This would be Cassie. She just turned twenty-one the day before the story opens. She and Quinn are best friends more so than the boys since one is married and one a fiancé.
Cassie and Quinn go running together movies, etc.… They met at her eighteenth birthday party and for Cassie, it was love at first sight. Quinn, he thought she was a beauty and spitfire and energy for days.
But when she arrives the day after her twenty-first and starts to question him about why he broke his promise of coming to her party he loses it. In front, of all the guys Mr. I-Could-Give-A-Shit meaning about her tells her. They are only friends never more so stop following him around drooling all over him because nothing romantic is ever happening.
As she left on her way out, she left her pass key to the station apologized to the men and left to go to a party at a bar with her friends where she decided she was leaving town. All because he didn’t like her sexy clothes.
