| A story that has brought out the character Jon Reznick from the first time I read one of these books. He finds out his daughter is in the hospital after being hit by a car. Like any parent upset wanting his child to recover, also wanting to find out about the person who drove the car that struck her. When he is told that it was a diplomat and that is claiming immunity. Jon does not go all out at first like a couple of the other books that I have read. He waits for his daughter to get better and reaching out to friends he has made hoping something will be done. When he is told no because the person is close with us our government Jon bypasses most of his friends who tell him to let it go. His daughter was hit and the driver got away, in his world and others someone should pay. I really liked this story and could relate to a lot of the story. A very good book.
