“I’m not doing this again. If you think you’re going to get me back in bed, you’re sorely mistaken.”
He reached up and touched my face gently, “You know it’s more than that. I want a lot more than that.”
She’s the one.
And I let her go.
I was stupid.
I was desperate to end the pain.
It wasn’t her fault.
It wasn’t mine either.
I know that now.
I have to fix this.
I just hope I’m not 10 years too late.
MY REVIEW:
I so enjoyed this new to me author. After reading one of her books 'Professor Next
Door' at the end it said to join her newsletter and get this book free. So, who is crazy enough to pass that up, hey
now a free book? Especially one with a
sexy guy on the cover, no brainer.
Anyway, this story like the other jumps
right in and grips you. There is never a
dull moment of turmoil and conflict, humor, and deep-rooted pain. But you find out that there are two stories
that are tied together when it comes to this couple.
Bryan was born a city boy born into
turmoil who dreamt of the country. So,
as soon as he could, he got out. Ended
up in the barn of Nikki’s father’s ranch who was a bigot bastard to everyone
including his own two daughters, but he liked Bryan.
He never thought that women were good enough, but
he could still work them like dogs. When
Nikki was eighteen, she finally told Bryan she was no little girl as he
referred to her one day. When she got up
close and personal to make her point.
The man who was ten years older than her but looked better than any man
she had ever seen her age. She made sure
he knew she wanted him.
When the story jumps her sisters blowing
up her phone trying to reach her. She
wants no part of talking to her or her effing father lawyer. Yup, bad blood. But the biggest surprises are yet to
come. This is a short I read in a few
hours. This is a storyline that keeps
you hopping. The characters are off the
wall and brash. But you will find
yourself laughing hard at times.
I give this: 5 stars. Free from the author no strings for even a
review. Follow us at
