I f@ck my students… I just can’t seem to keep it in my pants when these young sexy women throw themselves at me!
But now, I must stop behaving like such a d**k, not that my dead wife would care...
If I get caught sleeping with my students, I’ll lose my job.
And if I don’t get my s**t together, they’ll come for the only good thing in my life… my daughter.
But I have a plan to fix all that. I have a plan for the girl next door…
MY REVIEW:
I
was not expecting this book to be such an emotionally charged thinker of a
book. Yes, if you really didn’t read
this book to get past being indignant over the blurb. Because he was a man-whore who dated his
students at one time, which we all knew was a gimme just by the title and
blurb. Correct?
It is when you get into the meat and
potatoes of this story when you start to dissect the man, his situation, and
his life, that things are not always what they seem. This man is broken and needs so many repairs
it’s hard to even fathom as to where to start.
But here we go. Three years ago Galen and his wife Haley had
a baby girl Rikki. At six months, Haley
was in a car accident that kills her.
Not only was Galen living with the loss of his wife but also being a new
father with no experience, no wife, and no family.
Luckily Galen had a good support system in
his buddies. They have been there for him during the best of times and the worst. John being his closest friend. He volunteers to babysit at the drop of a
hat. All the guys would if asked. That’s why when Galen gets a notice that
there would be a custody fight for full custody by Haley’s parents, they rally
around the two of them.
They all know how Galen tried to get the grandparents to be a part of Rikki’s life after her mom died but they wouldn’t. Now they want her. They all told Galen he needs to find a wife
so when they saw his new neighbor a young female who looked at Galen with
longing eyes to ask her to babysit and the to marry him. He chose to ask her to babysit saying she wasn’t his
type.
After the first day, he noticed that his
daughter had really taken to Tara and that she was happy. He could tell Tara was getting closer to
Rikki each time she babysat for him. Not
to mention that each time he saw her he was seeing something captivating in
Tara. But he kept telling himself that
she wasn’t his type.
He realized that she made him laugh and
that she was smart, funny, caring, and was great with Rikki. The time had come he finally got his nerve up
to ask her to be his wife, for Rikki’s sake.
This is when Galan figures out that Tara
may be young in years, but she is not young in her spirit and emotional growth
in a lot of ways. Her backbone set she
asks him the hard questions. And
expected him to tell the truth. He knows
if she sees a flicker of untruth she will walk.
He is willing to give in and tell her all
that she needs to make her feel at ease.
As they move through their marriage and go to court, they see to what
lengths the grandparents will go to get what they want. Which only brings more honesty, pain, and
this couple closer. Proving, with
honesty, love, hard work, and more love anything can work.
Loved the characters determination, grit,
loving ways, sexuality toward one another and not even thinking outside their
marriage. They had depth as
characters. I give this: 5 stars. Free on Amazon. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com.
