| This was a good book but in reality, I don’t know how much of it would actually take place. The book opens with summer agreeing to drive her friends’ brother who has just gotten out of prison across the country with her to California. The first time she meets Niyol was when they were in college and he has changed. He acts like someone who has just gotten out of prison with not talking and that works for him until they get to her grandparent's place. After that it begins to loosen up and ride becomes a little easier. They do get caught in a tornado, he talks her into camping amongst other things. They actually begin to like each other even though he keeps telling her that they are different. The story goes along and you find out that he is the reason that his father the president is in prison now. He wants to get back in with the club. Usually, if you snitch weather for a club or gang you will not get back in you actually will have a target on you. That is the way it used to be. But this is a story and once they make it to California the two of them decide maybe they can be together when they get back to Indiana. Once home things change and she does not see him for weeks at a time and she does not what to live at the clubhouse this all makes both of their lives difficult. This is where the story takes another turn and the father escapes and then kidnaps her and you also find out secrets that have been going on since the beginning of the story. Strange the one who suffers out of this whole mess is the sister who at the beginning everything was fine and now her life is for shit, strange ending.
