| This book started out with a friend with benefits story. Catlin and Jonas being together in this deal for two years. One morning before leaving he tells Catlin that he wants more a commitment and that he has found someone but has not started anything because he wants her, Catlin. She Catlin says she can’t and would like to keep things as they are. He says no and weeks go by and later she meets his new girlfriend. Around this time Catlin’s boss develops a new dating app and wants her to test it out, hence 28 dates. After much hemming and hawing, she agrees which throws Jonas for a loop when he finds out. He later breaks up with the said girlfriend and gets with her boss and tells him of his plan. Though everyone thinks they would make a good fit it is up to Catlin overcoming the past and you discover what that is. It is also here that the story sort of reminds me of the movie “Shop around the corner” and “You got Mail”. Done a little differently at the end which was really nice along with the epilogue which makes up for anything at the beginning. A good story and worth the read.
