Wedding fever has hit the little town of Marietta...
Soap opera star Nancy Parsons is madly in love with Hollywood’s favorite leading man, and they’re getting married on her parents’ stunning horse ranch just outside Marietta, Montana. Actors, athletes, and politicians will be there to watch Hollywood’s most extravagant couple say I do.
There’s just one problem. The bride’s childhood friend Wyatt Wilder knows Nancy’s making the biggest mistake of her life. Sure, Jared’s got looks, money, fame, and—it seems—Nancy’s heart. But when her bridesmaids hire him to lead them on a girls’-only adventure, Wyatt has two nights in the wilderness along the Yellowstone River to show her what a real man looks and acts like. A rugged, tough, loving man.
But will he be able to do it before she says “I do” to the wrong man?

MY REVIEW:
Nancy (Nancylynn Pruitt) Parson the soap opera star of good old Hollywood and someone from Marietta, Montana. Did not come from the apple pie in the sky humble beginnings she led her friends to believe. No, it wasn’t the lap of luxury either. It was dirt poor, junky trailer on the land owned by Wyatt Wilder’s family.
Although, she and Wyatt have six years in age difference she loved following the older boy with the rattlesnake disposition around. He could strike at a moment notice yet at those times when you needed him most, he was always there for you. Sometimes even for piggyback rides.
But when an abusive boyfriend came after her at fifteen, he allowed her to handle it but was there to comfort her afterward. Stood guard by her that summer. Though a misunderstanding ended their friendship for good that summer too. Not ever running into one another. Leading right up to the present and the whole time they prayed they would be able to avoid one another for the wedding prep.
She knew it might be hard because when his dad fell on hard times and had to sell the ranch. She came in and bought the place for her parents. But now his dad worked for her parents as the foreman instead of the other way around. Awkward!
But when her hair-brain bridesmaids do a kind gesture for her, due to all the made-up stories she fed them, when they first. She was, whisked away for an adventure weekend. Let the fun begin or not. When her fiancé shows up things get extremely weird.
I thought Ms. Latham for having to bring up the rear (so to speak) with such established characters. She did an excellent job. I did not see Jared going in the direction you took his character. Bravo!
I give this: 5 stars. Provided by netgalley.com.
