Wedding fever has hit the little town of Marietta…
And Kaitlin Shuller’s groom of her dreams is marrying someone else… her sister.
Worst day ever. Her heart is broken, and all her carefully laid plans destroyed. Enter Beckett Larson, her older brother’s best friend, and a very good bad decision.
Beckett has spent his life trying to outrun his bad reputation, but everyone already thinks the worst of him, so when Kaitlin offers herself to him — virginity and all— he just can’t say no.
But one night together has permanent consequences, and this time Beckett knows he can’t outrun his bad boy reputation. He’s determined to make Kaitlin his bride… even if he has to seduce her down the aisle.
MY REVIEW:
We all have things we wish we can leave behind from our past. But for Kaitlin, she has been living if for the last six months. You see since she was in third grade she decided she would marry Carter McArthur.
So, she worked hard in school to get good grades, never was in trouble. You know when you are planning on marrying the son of one of the richest families in Marietta, Montana. But if you wanted to marry a future doctor it was so worth it.
But six months ago the carpet was pulled out from under her feet. Her baby sister, Sierra, tells her and Carter are getting married. Sierra, the girl who missed more school than went, who never followed the house rules in her life, who did whatever she wanted not caring what anyone thought. That sister.
Carter never saw her, Kaitlin, the person. But being the good daughter, she went to school to do something her daddy wanted and became the accountant. She’s now however working as a florist making her mother happier than ever. Yet she doesn’t like it at all. Which has her being for this God-awful wedding.
At the wedding, before it starts, and she is setting up and staying far away from everyone by staying in the church. In walks Carter and he just won’t shut up. Kate is so emotional it is all she can do to keep it together. That when her big brother's best friend and business partner, Beckett, walks in all dressed up for a change, she pounces on him. Surprising him and Carter. Since she avoided him like the plague.
Beck could see everything in her eyes. For he always knew she had her sights on Carter. Since Beck had always had his sights on Kate, he knew the look all too well. So, he walked her toward the door when they made a stop. When they encountered her brother.
See what happens from here is an interesting story of fighting your inner demons. Looking at how you choose to react to your surroundings and those that interact with you in it while you make the best choices.
I especially loved Beck. How he chose to allow his life changes to speak for themselves. Which seemed to prove the truth for him. Since he was doing things right while Luke was staying in a hotel drinking.
I give this: 4 stars. Provided by netgalley.com.
