Libby Reed is over it. Or that’s what she tells herself. She’s lusted after one of New York’s bravest for years, but firefighter Antonio Moretti has doused her interest for the last time. As much as she wants the arrogant jerk (in a bad, bad way), they can’t even be in the same room without setting each other off…which might be a problem now that she’s volunteered to help out in his family’s restaurant.
Antonio’s been burned before. Now he knows better than to trust a pretty face and follow another pair of long, beautiful legs into heartbreak. But while Libby might rub him the wrong way, he can’t deny the heat between them. And it only burns hotter when she steps up in his time of need. The closer they get, the more he realizes he may have misjudged her. Then again, he doesn’t know the secret Libby’s keeping that could send their relationship up in flames before it’s even begun.
PAT'S REVIEW
Libby Reed is a woman that goes after what she wants. She works multiple jobs and buys clothes and other designer label brands at huge discounts. One of her jobs is her own idea that she came up with and turned it into a business. So when her friends who own a pizzeria needed help when the husband got sick she offered to help. She knew the drawback would be their son Anthony who one does like the pizzeria and two she has had a crush on for years. Now the firefighter is worse than she could have imaged and not only is he always short-tempered with her but he begins to do it in front of customers. This leads to more auguring and then, of course, him wanting her to stop coming to the pizzeria, not. His main problem is with her designer labels handbags, clothes and other things instead of asking her he just figures guys, her dates maybe buys them for her and when he finds out that is not the case he feels like a heal and wants to date her. Everything goes along until she tells him that she is the one that is buying the pizzeria and he loses it. Later as he sees the changes to the store he must decide over love or his stubborn pride read this wonderful book and see what happens. Good characters also all around. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com |
