PAT'S REVIEW
The way this book opens with Julian Grayson the drummer for the rock band he had been with, you are expecting it only to go up wrong. He then months later is standing in a coffee house and is getting upset because a woman has decided to buy his coffee and muffin because he forgot his wallet. He is upset because he thinks that she wants something from him. She does for him to move so she can get her items and be on her way so she can get to work. This is how you meet Charlotte. He cannot leave it alone as to why she would do something like that and when she says pay it forward he does not understand that phase at that time. Still trying to understand her he follows her to a shelter where she volunteers at and he finds out that she is a social worker, finding jobs is just one of the many things she tries to help people find. Charlotte has no idea that the man following her and helping out is a rock star and when he asks her to come to his place to talk she is really overwhelmed by the size, the view, and just everything. She also finds herself attracted him and he is attracted to her. As the story moves along he is still dealing with or not dealing with a past relationship and because of this, his actions led her to walk away telling him she does not want anything from him but him. He does not understand that phase. He begins to work things out but he wonders if it is too late for them to get back together. This is an excellent book to go with this series and I really liked the Charlotte and Hank characters. Overall a good book. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 5 stars.
