| I found this to be a very entertaining story. It begins as two young people who have grown up together and after many years of being together they are hoping to take it to the next step. This does happen because Becca’s cousins find them and proceed to bet up the guy she is with Hale Wilder. After some of Hale’s friends show up it becomes a matter of words and her father then arrives and she tells Hale to leave. Her father treats her beyond words and she eventually leaves as well. The story then takes you to ten years later. Both are successful in their fields he is a Wall Street broker, she is a PR person for a pro football. Their two lives come back together when he is accused, arrested, of insider trading. Wanting to help and not believing the charges against him she along with some other friends bring him back to his hometown to sort out the charges, and more importantly their past. It is then when they go back to that night and what happened after he left that they slowly begin to heal. It is only when he reveals his secret from his family after his father died that they truly start to become a couple, but there is still work to be done. A very good story with many good characters and even the ones you don’t like help make the story. Overall a very good book. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars.
