Remington Luckadeau was always a carefree playboy...until his suddenly orphaned nephews became his responsibility. The Double Deuce Ranch would be the perfect place to raise two boys. PAT'S REVIEW;
I did not know if this story would work at first, but in the long run this is a very good book. Adele O’ Donnell and her two girls show up at a ranch hoping to buy it. At the same time is Remington Luckadeau with his two nephews that he raising after their parents were killed. Now the owner of the ranch cannot decide so the agreement is that they both stay and work the ranch if someone leaves during the month the other one gets to buy it. If both are still there then they will draw straws. Sounds good, but the two boys are city boys and need to learn about ranching. Adele and her two girls now a lot about ranching. You find out about Adele’s ex-husband and what a piece of work he is, and you find out about Remington and how he does not know anything but ranching and nothing about raising boys. This story works and what really makes it work is the youngest daughter Jett she is a hoot, a spit fire, and her character stays the same throughout the book which makes it work. All of the characters are good but hers makes this book more than just a normal story she actually gives it a little zing. Overall this is a very good book. I got this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 5 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com |
