A few weeks ago there was a story about a female
track and field runner who was competing in the Big Sky Conference outdoor championships.
Her name is Shelby Erdahl, and the reason her story is special. Is that while
competing in the 400 meters hurdles she tore her Achilles and walked 300 meters
stepping over each hurdle as she came up to it. Watching the video you can not
only see her pain, but her determination to finish the race for her team as
well for herself. See she is a senior and that was her last race for Idaho
State, and what a way to go out. If you can see the video it is amazing not
only seeing her step over each hurdle but at the finish her team was there for
her! What a way to go out now that is a heart of a warrior! CONGRATS FOR HER
AND FOR HER RECOVERY.

Last nights hockey game between the Sharks and the Penguins was a very exciting game. with the Penguins winning in OT. THEY LEAD THE SERIES 2-0. WITH THE GAMES 3 & 4 BEING PLAYED IN SAN JOSE.
ReplyDeleteTHE WARRIORS ARE LEADING THE CAVS BY 9 AT THE HALF. I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE THAT OKC LOST 3 STRAIGHT GAMES AFTER BEING UP 3-1 ON THE WARRIORS. THE LAST GAME DURANT HAD 27 AND WESTBROOK HAD 19 REALLY DID NOT GET IT DONE. THEY EVEN HAD A GAME AT HOME AND COULD NOT STOP GOLDEN STATE.
ReplyDeleteI COULD NOT AND CANNOT UNDERSTAND THE BIG 12 OR ANY OF THE GOVERNING BODIES OF THE NCAA. THE OTHER DAY THEY SAID THAT THEY ARE CHANGING THEIR MIND ON BAKER MAYFIELD AND NOT GIVING HIM AN EXTRA YEAR OF ELIGIBILITY. NOW TODAY AFTER MEDIA PRESSURE THEY HAVE GIVEN HIM HIS EXTRA YEAR. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN THIS FAR THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE THE RIGHT THING FROM THE BEGINNING.
ReplyDeleteTUESDAY WAS THE THE ANNIVERSARY OF LOU GEHRIG TAKING OVER FOR WALLY PIPP AT FIRST BASE THAT STARTED HIS CONSECUTIVE GAME STREAK THAT WAS BROKEN BY CAL RIPEN JR IN SEP 6 1995 AND FINISHED WITH 2632 GAMES IN 1998.
ReplyDeleteI KNOW IT IS STILL EARLY IN BASEBALL SEASON BUT THE CUBS LOOK LIKE A REAL GOOD TEAM THIS YEAR. HOPE THEY CAN KEEP IT TOGETHER IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE THEM WIN THE WORLD SERIES.
ReplyDeleteI HAVE SEEN SOME STORIES ABOUT THE OLYMPICS THAT ARE COMING UP AND NONE OF THEM SEEM TO BE VERY POSITIVE ABOUT ANYTHING BEING READY AND ALSO ABOUT THE HEALTH AND SAFETY. NOT ONLY FOR THE ATHLETES BUT THE VISITORS AS WELL. THIS CANNOT BE GOOD.
