Taylor Delaney is the love of my life.
She’s also the one I've hurt the most.
Two years ago, I made a disastrous mistake.
One I’m not sure I can make amends from.
But I have to try, because I’m nothing without her.
Brad Ashby's here, in my hometown, asking for a second chance.
All those unresolved feelings for him have resurfaced.
Not that they ever went away.
I know I should run him out of the town, but I can’t.
He needs to know that I wasn’t the only one who was deceived.
Even if we gave our relationship another try, how can we rebuild what’s been destroyed? If we weren’t strong enough then, what makes us strong enough now?
MY REVIEW:
Does love have an expiration date? Well, that is the question Brad Ashby is
asking himself right about now. As once
again he sits waiting outside the hospital where his ex-girlfriend and the love
of his life works. How she ended up back
in the hometown she hated so much he has no clue. Those are all questions he will have to ask
once he gets his courage up enough to finally talk to her.
You see Brad and Taylor Delaney fell madly
and passionately in love back in college.
Going against everything Taylor knew about Brad. You see Brad and his best friend Tanner were
big star swimmers. They were also big
time players with the ladies. Brad being
the biggest, the one who never slept with the same girl twice. But somehow Taylor made it past his
defenses. Tanner and Brad trained hard
and Taylor although going to school was there for him cheering him on. Brad’s sister, Piper, was there him too.
Then one day both girls got their own rude
awakening. Taylor’s was when Brad didn’t
make the cut for the Olympics. He went
into a tail spin. He started partying
all the time, was out of control, and started using drugs. Taylor found evidence of it and confronted him
on it. He said it was a onetime thing
not a problem. She believed him. Taylor had good news to tell Brad and since
she was so excited she decided to use the key Brad had given her the week
before. When she walked in she saw
evidence of his partying still and the drugs. You see with her sister being a seriously
addicted drug user she knew all the clear cut signs of usage sadly.
As she heads to the room she walks in on a
blonde riding him. As she drops her
water bottle Brad sits up the girl gets up gathering her things with Brad
mumbles Taylor’s name he is so high as she’s leaving too. Brad sealed their love for good, he did with
a finality. He always did do things over
the top. Taylor was in shock and her
heart is broken. She runs out and he
never comes after her.
The next week is their graduation and he
never seeks her out. He walked across
the stage and got his diploma as if all was alright in his world. His sister Piper tried to find out what
happened? Taylor just told her that her
brother wasn’t meant for just one woman in his life. Piper looked puzzled trying to figure it out
but with being heartbroken herself over Tanner, she didn’t fight it. The both of them didn’t believe in love much anymore.
Fast forward two and half years and Brad’s
life is not where he thought it would be.
He had been working a good job, engaged but then in the middle of the
wedding he just couldn’t marry the gal for he was still in love with Taylor. So, since he worked for her father’s friend
he was out of work too. Now he is living
in a neighboring town to Roosevelt where Taylor lives. Right now though he is
waiting outside of Taylor’s work and when she drives by she notices him and…
Can he win her back? Can she forget what she saw on that day? Can she forget what he did? Can she trust him in her life? Why now?
What does he want? All questions
you will have to read and find out about.
