Duke won their fifth National Championship Monday night in a hard fought game against Wisconsin who had upset Kentucky. I thought both teams played good and the Duke guards especially just was too much for Wisconsin. They could never stop either one of them from driving to the basket and with their passing they were open for three pointers and making them. Wisconsin’s problem was not the ref’s like the coach was mentioning. It was really lack of ball movement, and from the beginning #24 for Wisconsin would not pass the ball. He did end up with 4 asst. and 10 points but to me it looked like quit a few times down the court he would just pull up and shoot miss and the ball was going the other way. When the big guys for Duke got into foul trouble I thought that would be when Wisconsin would make changes to their game to take advantage but that was not the case. So Duke is the Champion. I am glad baseball season started.

  1. This first week has seen some good baseball already. Adrian Gonzales, is the first player ever to hit five home runs in the first three games of the season. That is truly amazing when you think how long they have been playing. Last night he three home runs.

  2. Matt Harvey made hie first start after Tommy John surgery, he was out for 19 months, he pitched 6 solid innings which was good. glad to see him back.

  3. Scott Kazmir, was dominate for the Oakland A'S last night only giving up 1 hit in 7 innings. The first day of baseball Sonny Gray had a no hitter until the 8th inning. so once again they look good in pitching.

  4. i thought San Fran looked good the other night when i watched them but then they put two pitchers on the DL so we have to wait and see about them.

  5. Tonight Troy Polamalu has announced his retirement from pro football. he was one of the best defensive players in pro football for a while really until a knee injury in the year they made it to the super bowl against the Packers. he had surgery after the season, but i wonder if he did himself more harm by playing and not having the surgery sooner before more damage was done. maybe he would not have seen a decline in his speed mostly so soon. still a top notch player and does a lot for his community also.

  6. A former Packer running back passed away the day, his name was Terdell Middleton. he rushed for 1,ooo yards in 1978 and the Packers would go until 1995 when Edgar Bennett, would rush for over 1000 yards. Middleton also spent 12 years as a firefighter after football he was only 59.
