Chloe cannot get enough of Nate-she's never felt more wild with desire in her life. The only problem is, she needs Nate's money. True, it's for a very worthy charity...but is their passion enough to still Nate's fears that she's only wants him for how big his bank account is?
HUBBY'S REVIEW:
Nate Christensen is mad at everyone and everything except maybe his brothers and sometimes they fall in that category as well. He is at the funeral of their father and it is looking like he is going to be inheriting his father’s wealth which he does not want, but his bothers think he should accept. He is the oldest but also the only one who is not wealthy. He joined the service while the other ones are either businessman or professional athletes. Chloe Benson runs a nonprofit youth sports foundation to keep trouble kids off the streets and needs 3 million dollars by Christmas or she will have to close down. Before she meets Nate she overhears him arguing with a lady named Mandy who was his father’s last wife and she is upset that she got no money but did get the house. She is trying to get Nate to sign over the estate to her. When they do talk she does not ask for any donation but does spend the night with him and realizes she cannot ask him for the money. He is attracted to her and wants to see her and actually talks to her about things that he has never talked to anyone about before but he still has in the back of his mind that everyone is only after the money to be with him. He finds out that she asked his brother for a donation and he goes crazy and as they were spending the night she just got up and walked out to her car and drove away, leaving her things there because she did not want anything to remind her of him. She then had to help when of the boys who got in trouble and ran away from another foster home. So she did not have time to worry any way. His brother after a week tracked him down and read him the riot act for being a jerk and told him to get his head out of his ass, and start to forgive himself and their father because it was messing up his life. He also told him he needed to make right with Chloe. Read the book and find out how it ends. A good story. I got this book from netgalley. I give this 4 stars.
