Mike McCauley had his soul mate for a precious time before she died giving birth to their son. She left him with the best boy a guy could want, so why is everyone playing matchmaker? He's sick of it . . . until he meets Delilah Webster.
For some reason, the foul-mouthed, tattooed mechanic sets his motor running. He sees the loving woman buried within. But the closer they get, the more the pain of past wounds throws a monkey wrench into a future he's not sure he can handle...
HUBBY'S REVIEW:
Mike McCauley lost his wife six years ago after she gave birth to their son Colin, he is so very tired of his family around trying to set him up. That when he goes to pick up his son from where he is being watched by Delilah Webster or Del. They banter back and forth and his one big complaint is that Colin at the dinner table said pass the f’n mashed potatoes. He would like it if they did not swear so much around him. This starts one of many confrontations but also starts something between the two of them. Most people cannot think of a reason that he would be around her since she is totally opposite of his deceased wife, with tattoos, working with guys in the garage and other things but he is attracted to her now they just have to work on each other to make it work. They each had to work on each other and deal with things from the past and Del had to deal with what his mother thought of her. A good book and story and I like the characters very much. I got this book from net galley. I give this 4 stars.
