Plus-size illustrator Patricia "Pattycake" Harper lives alone in the house she grew up in. Her small Georgia neighborhood has changed a lot since she was a kid, but one thing remains constant -- her secret crush on neighborhood hottie Noah Lodge. When a voyeur is reported lurking around Patty's bedroom window, Patrol Officer Lodge is first on the scene. Knowing the pervy perp is still on the loose, Noah does the one thing he's sure will keep his best friend's little sister safe.
He spends the night in Patty's bed.
This 11,800+ word story is for readers who like explicit erotica with a happily ever after ending featuring a plus-sized beauty, secret crushes and the hot next door neighbor she's known forever.
MY REVIEW:
Mike Harper and Noah Lodge have been friends
since forever. They lived in the same
neighborhood even now after Mike’s parents died a year apart. Mike has a kid sister, two years younger, Patricia. She is an illustrator for books. She owns and lives in the old home they grew
up in with Mike.
Mike is a military man who is now serving
in Afghanistan. He has asked Noah to
keep an eye on his kid sister. It is not
a hardship for Noah since he always did it with Mike growing up anyways. Plus he lives across the street and three
house down and he is a cop. The thing
was all Mike’s friends knew hands off when it came to ”Pattycakes.” So, Mike knew his place too.
Little did Mike or anyone know Patty
(Pattycake as Mike calls her) had a crush on him and Mike had a crush on
her. Since Mike could keep an eye out
but discreetly he would drop by unannounced which by Patty’s standards was not
discreet. Patty felt like it was over
kill because just when she thought she could move on he popped on over.
The book opens with him popping over with
lights flashing due to a prowler, when it’s not his patrol area she is scared
because she this it could be something happened to Noah. When she finds out it wasn’t she is
pissed. He checks, he gets in her space
enough to arouse her, and comes back for a sleep over…
I enjoyed the story line the mad secret
crush. The frustration and the sexual
frustration that has been created over the years by them not confronting the
elephant in the room is funny. Feelings
are elated, dashed, crushed, and soothed all in one short story.
I give this 5 stars. I got this book on Amazon free.
