ONCE BURNED Sadie Howard never dates a guy more than once-but Fate has other plans for her when it comes to Aiden Downey, the one that got away. Aiden loved her, left her, and broke her heart. Yet suddenly she's bumping into him at every turn, driven to distraction by his wicked grin and rock-hard body. Now she can't resist finishing what they started-as long as she doesn't let herself fall in love . . .
TWICE AS TEMPTING
Aiden Downey threw away the best thing he ever had when he let Sadie go, and now he's determined to win back the woman he's always wanted. Sadie agrees to let him into her life-and her bed-as long as there are no strings attached. But Aiden's not about to make the same mistake again. Can he convince her to take a second chance on a once-in-a-lifetime love?
MY REVIEW:
Hard to Handle was a well
written book that I enjoyed. I can’t say
for me that I made a connection with this story. Don’t get me wrong it was good. But for some unknown reason it did not grab
me. Aiden Downey was the sexy biker that
we all want to meet in our heroes.
Smart, feeling and strong. Sadie
Howard for me is the way I like to have women seen in books as strong, sassy,
and smart in business but without being bitchy not to mention she could be sexy
too with curves.
I can
only guess that the problem I am having with it may have be the subject
matter. That here you have two strong
characters and they loved each other and yet they lived in so much fear that
they just could not get out of each other’s way throughout a good part of the
book that for me it just got frustrating after a while. All because of a break they had between them a
year before. When the HEA came it just was not that “Ah Hah” moment. Now don’t fully go off my judgment please
read and form your own opinion.
Sadie
seemed to want to pay back Aiden for not loving her enough to go with him to
help his mom a year ago. Clearly the man
was in a tough place with his mom dying, so, him breaking up over the phone was
not his best idea, I will give her that.
But come on. I loved when her
best friend tells her basically you have milked this break-up one too many
times now pee or get off the pot. Not that is a true friend. This authors
writing I can’t fault it was well written and there were some funny moments and
heartfelt ones too.
I do recommend
this book. DUE OUT OCT. 1 Provided by netgalley.
