Can't Let Go is a PREQUEL novella to Hard to Handle, a "before" the happily ever after...
A LOVE IN THE BALANCE NOVELLA
AN INSTANT SPARK
Sadie Howard would never admit there's such a thing as love at first sight, but she can't deny the connection between her and sexy Adonis Aiden Downey. She also can't deny she loves to kiss him-his mouth might be his most precious asset. Despite every promise to herself not to get involved any deeper than a first date, she can't keep from seeing more of Aiden . . . in more ways than one.
Aiden Downey had no idea the hot blonde from the club would trigger his protective, gentle nature, but the moment she drops her guard and he sees the real Sadie Howard, he's a goner. When a family crisis puts the brakes on their budding romance, can Aiden find a way to hold on to her? Or will he lose the best thing in his life just as quickly as he found her? 25,000 words.
MY REVIEW:
Can’t
Let Go now it all makes sense. I
read Hard to Handle and felt like there was just something missing from
the story. So, (Ms. Lemmon’s publicist
saw my review and sent me this book to help me connect with no review
required. Which I would do review anyway
good or bad, that is who I am but in a nice way if I can.) I just could not put
my finger on it. Novellas are not always
a good idea and for sure in this story for sure. At least as far as I am concerned. It held all the real facts to the connection
to the emotions needed to come to liking both of these characters. I feel it was the total “Ah Hah” moment for
me that was needed to get that special feeling for the book after.
Sadie Howard is a woman who has been dumped and hurt by men in her past
and just can’t trust. Aiden Downey is a
man who has just gotten a divorce from his wife of two years, his best friend
who did his wife, and who was his partner in the very successful business. So, they are both not in a place where they
are looking for long term relationships just one night stands. It starts out that way but they both figure
out very fast that their hearts figure out that once they start talking which
neither are used to doing that what seemed like 5 minutes was hours. After 2 dates they felt love for each
other. Life as they know changes for
them. Ride the roller coaster to see how
they come to a stop and see where their loops take them. Hold on for it will be a fun, sad and bumpy
ride.
